Brassica oleracea
Purple leaves and globes with mild turnip-cabbage flavour. Eat the leaves like kale and the bulbs like broccoli. Purple variety has a slight spice, similar to a radish. Can be roasted, steamed, sautéd or grated as a cabbage alternative. Very versatile and fast growing alternative to cabbage.
