Love of Dirt Autumn Planning

Autumn Garden Planning

I know I am a little bit late on this one, but we're now in the middle of Autumn and it finally feels like summer is over. The past summer was so hot and it honestly felt like it was never going to end. I say it every year, I will give up in Summer and give the garden beds a rest but I always persevere with a few things. Now I feel like I am so late to the party as I've got nothing growing, so the Easter Long Weekend (once we finish building our chicken coop - more on that soon) I'll be prepping beds and finally getting organised. Love of Dirt Autumn Planning It's always hard knowing what to plant and when, but I am guided by what we eat, what grows well in our area/climate with minimal fuss. So here is my list of things I'll be planting in our sub tropical garden (not if you live in temperate or cold climates a lot of these things will be off limits to you).
  • Tomatoes (we can't grow these in summer due to fruit fly)
  • Kale
  • Swiss Chard
  • Spinach
  • Rocket
  • Coriander
  • Beetroot
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
